Landform

The land at Ratherheath is poor quality improved agricultural land of glacial origin.
The land is subdivided into 9 fields, and has 4 natural minor water inflows and 1 engineered outfall. The engineered stone culverts carrying the water inflows across the site to the outflow have collapsed in various places reducing their functionality and creating artificial wetlands. The principal aspect of the land has a tall dense backdrop of mature trees.
